Maintenance Mechanic – Experienced
Job Description
Full‑time position. Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Tasks include reading schematics, using electrical testing equipment, welding, machining, and utilizing PLCs. Operate lathes, mills, arc and Heliarc welders. Works on a wide variety of equipment across the facility.
Key responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair & maintain pneumatic/hydraulic systems, pumps, valves.
Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical systems; read schematics; use volt‑Ohm meter, amp meter, oscilloscope.
Operate PLCs, contribute to preventive maintenance, manage work orders.
Work with high‑voltage wiring (480V 3‑phase motors).
Complete multi‑craft repairs on electrical and mechanical systems.
Assist entry‑level mechanics on complex repairs; respond urgently to maintenance calls.
Follow task lists, diagnose machine issues, develop repair plans, maintain equipment reliability.
Requirements:
At least 18 years old.
Strong electrical and mechanical repair background (2+ years preferred).
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for extended periods, climb, bend, stretch. Willing to work weekends/holidays.
Can work in extreme temperatures, high noise, hazardous, and slippery environments.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Preferred:
Electrical certification, welding experience, or technical school training.
Experience with PLC programming and preventive maintenance systems.
