A Construction Superintendent at AGC is a deadline-driven individual who oversees construction projects with strong experience and a keen eye for quality. They serve as the key link between the various project parties. The Construction Superintendent leads and manages the on-site construction team and oversees all work on site in a safe, effective, and efficient manner. They are responsible for timeliness and orderliness on site. They are required to ensure strict compliance with safety regulations. Superintendents will ensure quality standards are met, and that all equipment, materials, and labor are available on site in accordance with the project schedule, at all times.
Responsibilities for Construction Superintendent include but are not limited to:
Be a strong leader, pro-active and perform well under pressure.
Be a strong communicator and documenter.
Prior to the start of work, creates the overall project schedule.
Maintains and distributes the overall project schedule weekly updates and creates and distributes 3-week look ahead schedule.
Thoroughly descopes all sub trades prior to the start of work.
Weekly meets with the internal AGC team to participate in project budget update and forecasting.
Supervise all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors on a daily basis. This supervision shall ensure adequate manpower is available for each task and compliant work performed.
Coordinate all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, supervising all trade and field personnel, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities.
Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and vendors to complete each project on time.
Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards and general work progress is met at various stages of the project.
Communicate with the entire project team and support each subcontractor to execute job duties effectively and efficiently.
Perform timely inspections or schedule timely inspectors to meet the varying safety and compliance regulations of each job location.
Maintain a thorough written daily log of visitors, job actions performed, materials expended, and problems resolved on the job site. (Daily Job Reports)
Travel between multiple job sites and simultaneously manage workloads of individual projects.
Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organizing meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary.
Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, and other construction management to determine budget and timeline.
Responsible for managing demanding clients and offering creative solutions to meet commitments and requests.
Utilizes organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization, professionalism, and multitasking.
Clear respectful communication with project team regarding RFI’s, Material Submittals, Change Orders, and any other pertinent documentation.
Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
Attend and represent organization on various on-site meetings and maintain documentation for all construction schedules and maintain logs of all processes.
Ensure that projects are built to requirements and specifications established by construction drawings, building codes, and clients.
Monitor production schedules, critical paths for projects, and trade contractor schedules to ensure timely project completion.
Monitor project quality and cost control to safeguard profit margin.
Guide and direct field employees, trade contractors, and suppliers.
Explain and ensure compliance of safety program to all site personnel.
Strive for no-defect construction.
Direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule and within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications.

10 years as a Las Vegas Strip Construction Superintendent
Fluent in budget management and forecasting
OSHA 30 Certified
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
Fluent with construction software including:
MS Project, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, ProLog, Procore, Build, MS Office Suite.
