Responsibilities This position functions as a first-line professional manager of a professional position in a complex work area. This position is responsible for supervising, coordinating, training, and mentoring North Region survey staff. Assignments may, by law, regulation, policy or common practice, require licensure to be a professional surveyor in the State of Michigan. This position requires a licensed professional surveyor to prepare and review legal descriptions of real property and make decisions in the determination of boundary locations. This position also reviews survey consultant proposals and deliverables for compliance with Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) specifications. This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license to perform field work and attend public meetings.

The "Salary" listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate through the maximum rate of the Land Survey Manager 13 position.

Education Possession of a bachelor's degree with a major in surveying.

Experience Four years of professional experience conducting land surveys equivalent to a Land Surveyor, including two years equivalent to a Land Surveyor P11 or one year equivalent to a Land Surveyor 12 or Land Surveyor-Licensed 12.

To be considered for this position you must:

Possess a valid driver’s license.

Possess a Michigan Land Surveyor license.
