Heavy Equipment Mechanic
LaMontagne Builders, Inc., is hiring a full‑time experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The best candidate would be able to conduct repairs and maintenance for heavy equipment that includes excavators, loaders, rollers, skid steers, and a fleet of commercial vehicles both large and small. This position encompasses both field work and work in shop. A qualified applicant must own tools needed to complete work described below. Compensation
$22.00 to $42.00 per hour, based on experience and a proven track record of skill and reliability. Job Location
The Maintenance Shop is located in Bedford, NH. All other sites are in southern NH and within 30 minutes of the shop. Job Type

Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gasoline‑powered equipment and vehicles. Perform preventative maintenance services and inspections per company schedule. Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Conduct field service calls for breakdowns or emergency repairs. Operate diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify malfunctions. Perform component replacements, rebuilds, and adjustments (brakes, steering, transmission, etc.). Maintain accurate service and repair records. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification. 3+ years of diesel or heavy equipment mechanic experience (construction). Valid driver’s license required; may require CDL or DOT Medical Card. Proficiency with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform work that involves frequent standing, bending, and climbing. Welding and fabrication skills a plus. MSHA, OSHA, or similar safety training a plus. About Us
