What You’ll Do:
Technicians diagnose truck problems and perform repairs. They create repair plans and fill out parts requisitions. They tag all warranty parts that are replaced, submit parts with core value, communicate updates to the Foreman daily, and maintain toolboxes organized and workstations clean and safe.
Responsibilities & Skills Assessment
Apprentice Technician
– Performs oil change, brake inspections and works on brakes, general maintenance of the service department.
D-Level Technician
– Basic chassis repairs, basic engine repairs, chassis removal & install, preventative & maintenance, internal/factory warranty processes.
C-Level Technician
– Basic diagnostic skills, major vendor/factory, most chassis repairs, engine accessory repairs, complete engine removal & install.
B-Level Technician
– Advanced diagnostics, complete engine repairs, complex chassis repairs, all vehicle component repairs, HVAC.
A-Level Technician
– Proficient on all vehicle component repairs, diagnose all failures, root cause analysis, vibration analysis, aftertreatment repairs & diagnostics.
Required Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Mechanical aptitude.
Positive attitude, dedication to excellence, motivated, team oriented, desire to succeed.
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Pass post-offer drug test and physical.
Compensation
$19-$42/hr depending on experience level and certifications + production bonus.
