The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned. Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff; develops and oversees employee work schedules; reviews timesheets; handles employee concerns and disciplinary actions; assists with performance appraisals; acts as a liaison; trains staff in operations, policies, and procedures. Organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work; ensures resources are available; monitors work progress; provides technical guidance; reports to management; revises procedures as needed. Processes department documentation, reviews reports, inspections, and payroll; prepares forms, reports, and correspondence; maintains records. Schedules inspector training and maintains certification records. Ensures maintenance of department vehicles, reviews maintenance reports, schedules repairs, and ensures vehicle availability. Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in Engineering or Construction Management or a related field; five years of inspection, engineering, or construction management experience, including supervisory roles; or equivalent education and experience. Licenses/Certifications:
Must possess and maintain ICC Residential and Commercial Building Inspections certifications; valid Georgia driver’s license required. Additional Details
