Leidos National Security Sector’s (NSS) Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA) invites applicants for a HVAC Technician role, working night shifts and some holidays.
Responsibilities
Inspect, repair, modify and install HVAC equipment including refrigeration and air conditioning compressors, receivers, condensers, chillers, water cooling towers, forced air converter units, pumps, automatic and hand valves, expansion valves and capillary tubes.
Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units and isolated heating and ventilating units, including electrically operated air‑conditioning equipment, and make necessary adjustments or repairs; service and repair evaporative coolers.
Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls, such as thermostats, automatic switches, fan controls, log switches, damper motors, louvers, relays, filters, belts, compressors, heat exchangers, high‑limit controls, pressure controls, safety valves and automatic valves.
Operate hand and power tools, a welder torch, vacuum pump, test equipment, and maintain equipment in safe working condition while keeping parts and tool inventory.
Perform skilled electrical maintenance work on HVAC equipment, components, timers, motors and wiring systems; connect motors to control panels; perform basic carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, sheet‑metal fabrication, and other maintenance tasks.
Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience installing or maintaining HVAC systems or performing building maintenance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
12‑hour shifts and occasional holiday work required.
Pay Range Pay Range: $25.00 Hourly + SCA and overnight differential.
