Overview Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an HVAC Technician to join its team within the Mission Systems Organization. This position is located in
Linthicum, Maryland.
Primary Function Perform a variety of skilled maintenance tasks to install, operate, maintain, adjust, diagnose and repair facility heating, cooling, refrigeration, ventilation, boilers, and air handling systems and associated fans, air cleaners, air compressors, chillers, pumps, motors, etc.
Responsibilities
Perform work of equal or lower skill level as required.
Operate and maintain equipment connected with facility heating, ventilation, and cooling systems, including boilers, air cleaners, air handling units, air compressors, fans, chillers, filters, pneumatic and electronic controls.
Diagnose malfunctions of HVAC equipment by interpreting drawings, specifications, operation manuals and repair as necessary; disassemble and repair equipment safely using tools such as ammeters, voltmeters, refrigeration gauges, and related instruments.
Regulate and maintain air handling systems for clean rooms and office/shop areas; take readings and adjust to ensure proper balance and operation of heating and air conditioning systems.
Advise supervisor and facility engineers of system malfunctions and collaborate on design changes if necessary.
Obtain, deliver and move materials, tools and equipment using appropriate material handling equipment; perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, painting, lubricating, lighting changes, fuel deliveries, water treatment, and inspection of equipment and facilities.
Utilize computerized data management systems to maintain records on preventive maintenance and repairs; report problems or unsafe conditions to supervision; perform other duties within the scope of this position.
Qualifications
Education Requirement:
High School graduate or equivalent. Completion of an approved four-year electrical or pipefitter apprenticeship program plus completion of an HVAC Technical School or six years of equivalent industrial HVAC experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
3 years’ experience in semiconductor industry
