RECONCRAFT
is seeking a
Fabricator IV
who will lead a team of at least 2-5 fabrication personnel on at least one major hull program. This member is responsible for all facets of fabrication including fitting, welding, adherence to established quality control standards, procedures, site cleanliness, redlines, weld schedules, use of drawings and efficient management of personnel to complete tasks according to reasonable planned resource hours. Fabricator IV will be expected to be fully knowledgeable on their respective vessel specifications, build standards, ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council) requirements, and deliverable timelines.
Note : These benefits are only applicable to full time, regular associates at Copper River.
Responsibilities
Fabricator IV
must demonstrate in-depth skills in MIG and TIG applications to include fitting, welding, straightening and use of fixtures.
Fabricator IV
must have complete knowledge of all WPS materials and AWS D1.2 standards. They will have obtained all certifications as required by various contracts.
Fabricator IV
must show the ability to safely perform multiple duties and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. They will also be required to complete assigned work in a reasonable amount of time while adhering to established quality control standards.
They will work with the Fabrication Supervisor and Engineering to improve the production processes by training and guiding all members of their team and other Fabrication teams, as needed.
They will have a thorough understanding of and make recommendations for different tools, machinery and equipment that will simplify and expedite the fabrication process.
Qualifications
Typically 7 to 12 years of experience on aluminum vessel programs or with military and/or government clients.
Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
High School Diploma (GED)
U.S. Citizenship
Ability to pass background check
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, understanding drawing symbols, flag notes and general notes
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Read travelers and standard procedures
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
Attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced production environment
Physical requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Standing for long periods, climbing ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching are generally required
Ability to work long hours, when required, to meet deadlines and other deliverables
