Position Summary The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position. These positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment, with applicants being contacted and hired year-round based on college needs.

Note:

Applicants in this pool will remain active for two years. After this period, they will receive an email with information on how to remain in the pool.

The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for:

Teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean.

Helping students fulfill their potential in mastering course content.

Assessing student learning outcomes.

Maintaining current knowledge in their teaching field.

Continuing professional development.

Utilizing current technology in job duties.

Maintaining professional conduct and ethics.

Assisting with curriculum development and review.

Serving on college committees and participating in faculty governance.

Assuming other responsibilities as assigned by the area dean.

Position Salary:

The initial maximum salary placement depends on academic degree, upper/graduate level units earned, and/or related professional experience, per the

Los Rios College Federation of Teachers Contract . The initial placement is Class V, Step 1. For more details,

Typical Duties The instructional assignment may include teaching courses across various levels in this discipline, with specific courses varying by campus. Possible courses include:

IMMT 120 Technical Documentation and Communication

IMMT 220 Industrial Mechanics I

IMMT 230 Industrial Electricity I

Minimum Qualifications

Any bachelor's degree or higher

AND

two years of professional experience, or an associate degree

AND

six years of professional experience. Alternatively, the equivalent* from an accredited institution completed by the time of hire.
