Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for

Aircraft Systems Mechanic Level 4

to join our team within our E‑2D Manufacturing and Production Organization. This role will be located on site in

Saint Augustine, Florida .

This position is for a hands‑on person with great attention to detail, a top focus on quality, and the ability to interface with multiple teams.

Location Saint Augustine, Florida

Essential Functions

Troubleshoots, repairs and services aircraft and engine systems.

Reads and interprets blueprints.

Assembles and installs hydraulic systems.

Conducts diagnosis of malfunctions.

Performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re‑assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications and engineering instructions.

Is able to obtain half‑ and full‑face respirator certification.

Experience with daily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systems.

Uses appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor.

Recommends and implements continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance and team effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and 6 years’ experience with engine/hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, and systems in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing or maintenance environment.

Can perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitive work including bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds and working overhead.

Can access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment.

Passes medical/respiratory examination.

Can work any work schedule.

Has or can obtain and maintain a Secret Department of Defense clearance in a reasonable amount of time as required by the business.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on or around operational aircraft.

Completion of an A&P certificate program.

Experience in the E‑2D manufacturing environment.

Primary Level Salary Range:

$66,300.00 – $110,500.00. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for long‑term incentives.
