AECOM is seeking a highly talented, self-driven, and motivated Civil Engineer to be based in the Columbus, Ohio area. This position is expected to begin in November/December 2025. Builds analytic and design skills. Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems. Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision. Minimum Qualifications
Candidate must have completed Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or have demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications
Transportation-related internship/work experience. Proficiency in CADD and industry-standard computer software for the position (examples include AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley MicroStation/OpenRoads). Engineer-in-Training certification or ability to obtain within one year. Experience with business development and client relations. Experience with oversight of junior staff. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Understanding of GIS software and coding languages. Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Experience designing transit (ideally BRT infrastructure) and/or transportation infrastructure. Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Additional Information
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in-office work in Columbus, Ohio. The selected candidate must be available to work in Columbus, Ohio on a scheduled basis. Compensation
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000 per year. About AECOM
