Position Description We are looking for an Underground Engineer II to support execution of small and medium‑sized projects—including planning, justification, engineering, and design—at the Turquoise Ridge mine. The role focuses on ensuring safe, productive operations and sustainable legacy within the host community.
Responsibilities
Produce mine production reports and track site KPIs, evaluating opportunities for improvement.
Accountable for mine design and mine planning, covering both short‑ and long‑range projects.
Conduct regular audits of the site to ensure compliance with standards and identify efficiency improvements.
Collaborate closely with geology and exploration to align exploration and in‑fill drilling with mining plans, and perform mine‑to‑mill reconciliation.
Design and develop as‑built layouts for all underground development and services.
Create and monitor site forecasts and budgets.
Provide focused review of site deliverables to ensure completeness, clarity, and accuracy, including preparation of presentations and reports.
Coordinate with mine operations to ensure plan compliance and minimize disruptions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent (required).
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of underground mining engineering experience (preferred).
Strong understanding of engineering theories, US engineering standards, and mining regulations.
Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills.
Strong time and productivity management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mining engineering software (e.g., Vulcan, Deswik, Ventsim).
Proven ability to perform safely and efficiently.
