Diesel Mechanic/Technician

Interstate Power Systems is looking for Diesel Mechanic(s) for our Fargo, North Dakota location with a minimum of 3-5 years of light or heavy duty diesel experience. Specializations in Freightliner, Detroit, Allison, Cummins, CAT products, MTU and more are welcome. We offer highly competitive wages.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday
Pay Range:
$30 - $40 per hour DOE
Responsibilities
Repairing and maintaining diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and equipment.
Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and perform necessary repairs.
Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding repairs.
Ensure quality control of work to maximize customer satisfaction.
Keep paperwork updated and submitted upon completion.
Meet requirements for certifications.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus for bonus compensation).
Good work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability.
Strong understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product.
Experience with other diesel engine platforms (Cummins, CAT, International) is a plus.
Other mechanical skills are desired but not essential: hydraulics, brakes & suspension, manual transmissions, drive train, and automatic transmissions.
Ability to lift and work physically without restrictions.
Technical degree or certification is a plus.
Desire to pursue certification opportunities to maintain updated product training.
