Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle, with a focus on MEP systems. Provide estimate and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan for MEP components. Review and participate with the design services team and general contractor in the development of MEP cost estimates. Reconcile changes and assist the general contractor to ensure that their MEP data is accurate. Communicate or meet with the general contractor and owner project manager to gather status information to prepare a cost estimate update for MEP systems. Prepare written comments on the general contractor’s MEP submissions, including the executive summary. Coordinate all sources of MEP cost information for cost discussions and suppliers directly from NPAs, subs, quantities from A/Es. Inform and drive engineering priorities based on MEP cost impact. Work proactively with minimal supervision to resolve MEP scheduling issues. Manage cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects, focusing on MEP systems; complete timely, accurate cost checking and valuation processes. Participate effectively with post-contract MEP cost variances and the change control processes. Manage MEP cost impact/contingency management and commitment tracking logs. Prepare funding data presentations and coordinate value engineering sessions with stakeholders, focusing on MEP systems. Develop cost plans and estimates through the design phase, delivering updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones for MEP components. Provide commercial input to design optioneering and value engineering exercises for MEP systems. Review contractor and subcontractor pricing and lead negotiations on behalf of the client to drive fair contract prices for MEP components. Perform quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management activities throughout the project lifecycle, focusing on MEP systems. Ensure post-contract MEP cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively. Ensure MEP cost auditing and valuation work is robust, with a strong cost validation process. Produce monthly cost reports for client presentation, focusing on MEP systems. Negotiate and agree final accounts in a timely manner. Compile as-built cost estimate records for benchmarking purposes. Identify, coach, and mentor talent to realize potential and celebrate success. Demonstrate leadership and service delivery excellence on commissions in line with appointment terms. Financial Management: track margin levels and monthly fee/resource forecasts for each commission and provide financial reports. Implement and maintain internal Business Management Systems and delivery methodologies to ensure consistent best-practice delivery for clients and the company. Promote a one-business culture balancing people, clients, stakeholders and society. SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, where applicable. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field. At least 3 years’ experience for a Cost Manager/QS and 5+ years for a Senior Cost Manager in cost management within construction. RICS accreditation or working towards it is preferred. Experience leading cost management on medium or large construction projects of medium to high complexity. Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management and value engineering. Extensive experience with MEP systems in large-scale projects. Excellent communication skills. Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $100K-$185K per year. Salary ranges reflect base pay and may vary based on experience and qualifications. Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. On-site presence requirements may change depending on client needs.
