Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role for an HVAC Service Technician, located in South Orange Village, NJ. The HVAC Service Technician will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems, including air conditioning, furnaces, and ventilation systems. Other responsibilities include conducting routine maintenance, communicating with customers to provide accurate service assessments, and ensuring all work complies with safety and quality standards. The technician will also document work completed and offer professional recommendations to improve system performance.
Qualifications
Proficiency in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment.
Experience in performing routine maintenance and system troubleshooting to ensure system efficiency and safety.
Solid understanding of HVAC industry safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
Strong communication and customer service skills to explain technical details to clients and offer recommendations.
EPA Certification and a valid driver's license (required); NATE Certification is a plus.
Technical training or a degree in HVAC/R or equivalent hands‑on experience is preferred.
Ability to work independently, adapt to dynamic work environments, and manage time effectively.
