We are seeking an experienced
Field Service Technician (FST), Electrical
for the SPO/ Flexo product line. The FST provides timely and efficient machine repairs and installations primarily for customers, serving as the front-line representative for the BOBST product range.
Requirements
90% TRAVEL REQUIRED – Candidates must be able to travel extensively throughout US and Canada; ideal candidate located within 1 hour of a major international airport.
Education
Technical school or college related to technology science, e.g., Electrical Engineering.
Compensation & Benefits Base salary is estimated to range between
$75,000 and $85,000 annually , depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
Overtime Pay (OT)
Per diem allowance during travel
Travel time compensation

Key Skills & Attributes
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the packaging industry or finishing converting industry working as an electrician on Bobst die-cutting machines or similar equipment.
Background in electrical engineering.
Diagnosing faults and making recommendations in customer environment.
Knowledgeable with VFDs, Servo drives, PLC logics.
Basic computer programming.
Electrical & electronic circuits wiring and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of hand and power tools.
Candidate Qualities
Strong analysis skills and attention to detail.
Independent, responsible work style.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
Fluency with metric system.

Principle Responsibilities
Machine Service (electrical & mechanical), including the repair and installation of new machines, relocation of existing equipment, customer training, preventative maintenance, ordering parts necessary to perform installations and repair, troubleshooting problems and proactively recommending the necessary service and maintenance programs.
