VRC Engineered Solutions Description Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clean and maintain production equipment and surrounding work areas. Perform general janitorial tasks such as sweeping, emptying scrap barrels, and removing debris. Support 5S and organizational initiatives to keep tools, parts, and work areas orderly. Ensure walkways, aisles, and storage areas remain clear and safe. Assist maintenance and supervisors with special cleaning or plant support projects. Transport raw plastic materials (pellets, resins) to and from production machines. Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment. Maintain a steady supply of materials to injection molding machines. Label and store finished goods in designated warehouse locations. Record material movements using scanners and documentation systems. Shift:

2:15pm-10:40pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime on the weekends as needed (*$1 shift premium for working 2nd shift) Facility & Equipment Support (≈70%) Clean and maintain production equipment and surrounding work areas. Perform general janitorial tasks such as sweeping, emptying scrap barrels, and removing debris. Support 5S and organizational initiatives to keep tools, parts, and work areas orderly. Ensure walkways, aisles, and storage areas remain clear and safe. Assist maintenance and supervisors with special cleaning or plant support projects. Material Handling (≈30%) Transport raw plastic materials (pellets, resins) to and from production machines. Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment. Maintain a steady supply of materials to injection molding machines. Label and store finished goods in designated warehouse locations. Record material movements using scanners and documentation systems. General Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures. Communicate and collaborate with operators, supervisors, and quality staff. Promptly report defective materials, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues Qualifications Skills & Knowledge Basic math and reading skills. Mechanically inclined; able to perform minor equipment cleaning and upkeep. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be at least 18 years old with a strong attendance record. Prior experience in manufacturing, janitorial, or material handling roles preferred. Certifications Forklift certification (or ability to obtain). Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Frequent twisting, bending, and overhead lifting (e.g., dumping 50 lb scrap barrels). Ability to walk for 8+ hour shifts. Work Environment Exposure to noise, heat, and plastics processing equipment. Use of PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection may be required.
