Job Summary As an experienced fabricator/welder, you will operate press brake, shear, paint equipment and other machinery to fabricate guards, trays, tables, shelving, racking, and additional items necessary throughout our manufacturing facilities.
You will work from sketches, prints, or designs, and may create your own designs to meet specific needs.
Responsibilities
Operate press brake, shear, paint equipment and other machinery to fabricate a range of parts such as guards, trays, fixtures, brackets, racking, tables, and shelving.
Work from sketches, prints or designs to meet specific needs or create your own designs.
Perform TIG, MIG, Qxy‑Acetylene, and some stick welding.
Apply heating and bending of heavy gauge metals; use metallurgy knowledge in welding practices.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, dies, welders and fixtures; ensure general care of all equipment.
Assist in the maintenance, modification, and component part fabrication for thermoforming equipment.
Use plasma arc cutter and water jet (helpful).
Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
Experience operating press brake, shear, and various benders.
Proficient in TIG, MIG, Qxy‑Acetylene, and stick welding.
Strong knowledge of metallurgy as it impacts welding practices.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
Strong judgment and problem‑solving skills to maximize equipment capabilities.
Ability to collaborate with production, machine shop, engineering, and maintenance departments.
Benefits Competitive hourly pay of $23.00–$30.00 for the 2nd or 3rd shift, Monday–Thursday.
