Job Summary The Production Warehouse Associate will perform a variety of duties in the shipping and receiving department and will also be responsible for the fabrication and installation of conveyor belts and related products either in‑house or at a customer site.
Responsibilities
Build/repair belts and conveyor belt components.
Install and vulcanize lightweight conveyor belting.
Receive, verify incoming parts, materials, and supplies; maintain stock area and follow sales orders.
Ship product, verify, and record all items loaded for shipments.
Work with truck carriers and couriers.
Fabricate, install, and repair conveyor belting and systems.
Accurately maintain shipping records for requested categories, including goods returned.
Maintain a database of shipment data.
Notify supervisor of major discrepancies, over‑shipments, or substitutions.
Maintain attention to detail.
Keep work area neat and orderly.
Pick up and deliver orders, stock, and supplies.
Work safely, using proper care with tools and equipment.
Observe all safety rules and regulations.
Represent Belt Power professionally at all times.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Strong mechanical background.
Ability to interpret and verify precise measurements using a tape measure.
Basic math and computer skills.
Mechanical aptitude.
Adaptability to changing situations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Capability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights and tight spaces.
Forklift experience preferred.
Availability for overtime hours and weekend work.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
High school diploma or equivalent education.
Desired Characteristics
Quick learner of new processes and systems.
Maintenance, belt‑tech experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Work Environment The position involves working near moving and mechanical parts and equipment; noise levels can be loud.
Physical Demands The role requires lifting or moving up to 50 pounds and involves manual dexterity and strength in the arms, shoulders, and legs. Tasks may include standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods, and manipulating tools, equipment, and other objects.
Position Type & Hours Full‑time position in a shop. Typical workdays are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime and weekend work.
Pay Range $18.00 – $22.00 an hour
