Description
Drive delivery, box, tanker, or tractor-trailer combination to transport and deliver lubricating oil, liquefied petroleum, or mixed surfactants to customers. Performs any activity or assignment asked for by their supervisor. This is a safety-sensitive position. Primary Responsibilities
Be proactive in the use, maintenance, and urging of others to use PPE. Exhibit superior customer service skills Exhibit organization, cleanliness, and professionalism Drive truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations, such as narrow passageways. Inspect truck for defects before and after trips and submits reports indicating truck condition. Maintain all personal logs (ICC, CSA, etc.) in accordance with DOT regulations. Assist in the loading/unloading of trucks, such as: Driving a truck into position to load/unload Loading/Unloading trucks with a forklift Verifying the loaded amount per bill of lading/shipping manifest Connecting heavy hoses, opens valves or starts pumps to fill or empty tank Purges oils based on approved QC standards and takes samples of oils for customer and facility retains Reads gauges or meters and records off-loaded quantities Drives truck to customers premises to load/unload Follow all specialized customer safety guidelines Safe operation of crane pumps and lift gate
Assist in warehouse functions when not driving Delivering finished goods- Drums, Totes, Pails Daily inventory truck accessories and cleans as required Understand HAZMAT and emergency spill containment and response. Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Forklift experience CDL-A, HAZMAT, and Tanker certifications Verbal and written skills necessary to read and follow instructions and to give instructions or directions to drivers and customers. Punctual and diligent in adhering to work schedules and must be able to meet the overtime requirements during seasonal work Willingness to learn coupled with a “can-do” attitude Pass Driver proficiency assessment Ability to lift 50 pounds from the floor to waist level Ability to push/pull 100 pounds with or without assistance Entering/Exiting/Driving vehicle multiple times during the day Ability to regularly walk briskly across large expanses, 100 – 200 yards at a time, to view/visit customer sites Ability to walk up and down one to two flights of stairs when visiting customer sites Ability to drive several miles per day to call on customers Ability to climb ladders several times per day to check tanks At least 2-year verifiable commercial driving experience preferred Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record Stable work history This is a safety-sensitive position
