What We Seek We are seeking an

Electronics Technician 3

to join our

Security and Electronic Systems (SES)

business unit. As part of the

(SES)

Strategic Business Unit, you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities

Executes various technical tasks within field operations, including on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems.

Ensure functionality and reliability of multiple technologies; conduct site surveys, configure hardware and software, test systems, and provide technical support to customers.

Possess strong problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Utilizes and comprehends project Safety plans (JHA, AHA, PFW), enforcing M.C. Dean policies.

Participates in quality reviews of design documentation, analyzes drawing packages to evaluate constructability.

Tracks project metrics and participates in weekly resource allocation meetings.

Verifies charges in timesheets and executes installation and maintenance activities within planned durations with detailed documentation.

Tracks and inventories tools, conducts tool inspections, and coordinates material ordering and receiving.

Conducts daily ORM meetings, ensures safety compliance, and completes accident/incident reporting.

Installs system raceway, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, and panels per industry standards.

Terminates, tests, and configures electronic devices, network and IT equipment; manages base switch configurations and server/workstation configurations.

Ensures compliance with QC plans and checklists, performing quality control inspections and documenting findings.

Leads commissioning efforts, tracks activities, and interfaces with owners and design teams as needed.

Communicates effectively with project teams, other trades, and customers; demonstrates leadership and teamwork.

Provides look-ahead for manpower, material procurement/staging, and resource planning.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.

50% travel.

Qualifications Clearance/Citizen Type:

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; no clearance required.

Education

HS diploma or GED; Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours)

Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or

Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program

Additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities

Required Progressive Experience

6+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs

Strong oral, written and presentation skills

Experience working with multidisciplinary teams

Strong time management and organization skills

MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are a plus

Valid driver’s license; may require use of a company vehicle

Acceptable driving record per policy

Preferred Qualifications

Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, CCTV systems and related platforms

3 years experience focused in electronic security systems

OSHA 30 certification
