Seasoned Electrical Estimator needed to join a growing team for projects in the LA area.
Salary $125,000 - $145,000 per year
Job Details Location: Los Angeles area
Base pay range: $125,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing proposed plans and specifications and performing quantity take‑offs for electrical and other specialty trades.
Review and interpret electrical and architectural drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
Utilize estimating software such as Accubid to generate accurate and competitive bids.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that projects are accurately estimated and budgeted.
Participate in pre‑construction meetings to ensure understanding of project scope and requirements.
Conduct post‑project evaluations to identify areas for future improvements in estimating practices.
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in the construction industry to enhance the accuracy and competitiveness of bids.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably in the construction industry.
Proven experience with ground up construction and multifamily construction projects.
Strong knowledge of Electrical Estimating, Construction Estimating, Project Estimating, and Cost Estimating.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and architectural drawings and blueprints.
Expertise in using Accubid or similar estimating software.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Familiarity with local, state, and federal building code regulations.
