Entry Level Engineer – Transportation
Location: Acworth, GA
About The Role As a Transportation Engineer at STV, you’ll work alongside industry‑leading professionals on projects that include roadway design, multimodal improvements, traffic operations, and infrastructure modernization. This position offers hands‑on technical work, mentorship from senior engineers, and opportunities for professional growth across all stages of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Support the design and development of roadway and highway infrastructure projects for municipal, state, and DOT clients.
Prepare design plans, technical drawings, and specifications using MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Assist with cost estimates, quantity calculations, drainage design, and traffic control layouts.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, structural, and environmental engineers.
Participate in field reviews, site assessments, and data collection efforts as needed.
Ensure design deliverables meet client standards, budgets, and schedule requirements.
Contribute to reports, presentations, and project documentation supporting design submittals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (required).
2–5 years of experience in roadway/highway or transportation engineering.
E.I.T. certification (required); P.E. license or progress toward licensure preferred.
Experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar design software.
Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
Familiarity with state or municipal design standards is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take initiative on technical tasks.
Compensation Range $68,554.21 - $91,405.62
