This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Equipment Technician located in Grand Prairie, TX. The Senior Equipment Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and packaging equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports the startup and installation of new nicotine pouch production lines and associated utilities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on mechanic with experience in FMCG, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (lubrication, adjustments, inspections) on production equipment, tooling, conveyors, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, motors, drives, control panels. Respond to equipment breakdowns or faults: diagnose issues, troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/hydraulic problems, repair or replace components, restore operation quickly. Assist with installation, alignment, calibration of new equipment and retrofits. Maintain logs, records and documentation of maintenance activities, repair history, parts used, and equipment status. Work closely with production, quality and engineering teams to identify root-cause of equipment failures and contribute to continuous improvement (OEE – Overall Equipment Effectiveness). Maintain inventory of critical spare parts, tools and supplies; coordinate ordering or requisitions when parts are low. Operate within and support our safety culture: perform lock-out/tag-out, follow OSHA and internal safety procedures, keep work areas clean and hazard-free. Occasionally participate in off-shift or emergency call-in work when needed to minimize downtime. Assist in training production personnel for routine maintenance tasks, empower operators to catch issues early. Required Qualifications & Skills

High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics) or associate degree is preferred. Proven experience (2+ years or more) in equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems) Strong mechanical aptitude, able to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and interpret control logic. Competency with tools of the trade: hand tools, power tools, multimeters, measurement devices, alignment tools. Troubleshooting mindset: able to identify the root cause of failure and recommend long-term fix, not just quick band-aid. Good communication and teamwork skills — you’ll interface with production, engineering and outside vendors. Physically able: lift heavy parts, work on elevated platforms, in varied factory settings, stand/bend/crouch as needed. Willingness to work shift hours, overtime or off-hours when production demands. Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and automation systems. Experience with preventive maintenance software/CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Strong commitment to continuous improvement—Kaizen mindset, lean manufacturing experience is a plus.
