Engineering Technician Winter/Spring Co-Op

As a Co-op at Skyworks Solutions, you will have the exciting opportunity to gain hands‑on knowledge and experience in highly integrated RF circuits while working as part of the product development team. The successful candidate will work closely with design engineers to develop cutting‑edge RF modules used in mobile devices.

Co‑op duration January to June 2026
Responsibilities Operating automated testers, running automated calibration routines, performing basic manual RF tests, evaluating standard RF devices—including but not limited to couplers, filters, duplexers, amplifiers, isolators—building fixtures, building RF test setups, building harnesses, mounting RF chips on evaluation boards using soldering iron and hot plate. Technician will review test results with engineers, make modification of prototypes and retest until performance meets specifications. Technician will take an active role in the development of products by making tuning decisions, participating in meetings, and being a team player.
Required Experience and Skills
Associate Degree and above
Ability to understand schematics and diagrams
Experience with MS‑Office and Windows OS
Ability to interpret data, basic understanding of DC and RF data: voltage, current, power, insertion loss, return loss
Excellent communication skills, ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Excellent organizational skills
Must have team‑oriented attitude, accountability and ownership
Desired Experience and Skills
Knowledge and hands on experience with RF test equipment: multi‑meter, spectrum analyzer, VNA, oscilloscope, signal generators, power meter, power supplies, etc.
Familiarity with handling RF chip devices in an ESD environment
Soldering skills, experienced in using soldering iron, hot plate
Proficiency in bench level/trouble shooting electronic equipment
Assembly experience
Preferably with some knowledge with C/C++ or similar
The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
