Job Description AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented
Entry Level Landscape Architecture Designer
for immediate employment in the New York City Landscape Architecture + Urban Design Studio located in our midtown New York office.
The Landscape Architecture and Urban Design portfolio in the NYC studio includes a broad range of urban-based, multidisciplinary public realm projects such as plazas, streetscapes, parks, waterfronts, infrastructure, urban design plans, master‑planning, green infrastructure and ecological restoration.
In collaboration with design studio leadership, you will work closely with project design teams and landscape architects, managers and designers to design and assist in the execution of projects within the New York City metropolitan area, nationally and internationally. Projects are design‑driven and involve close collaboration with engineers, planners, cost estimators and other technical consultants.
Responsibilities
Perform design work for the landscape architecture studio under the direction and supervision of design leadership.
Prepare materials for client and agency meetings.
Perform basic landscape architecture calculations under the supervision of team leads.
Prepare reports and related data tables.
Prepare and edit drawings as required.
Perform construction administration tasks under the direction and supervision of team leads.
Minimum Requirements
B.A./B.S. in Landscape Architecture or related disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of professional experience.
Experience generating exceptional two‑dimensional and three‑dimensional design graphics.
Experience preparing construction documents, reports and publication documents.
Experience in production and digital rendering with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Rhino.
Ability to effectively manage time and self‑edit work.
Experience creating compelling open‑space design, with an ability to develop the work through the technical design phase.
Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills.
Experience in Microstation, Grasshopper, Revit, ArcGIS and other computer applications.
Strong knowledge and interest in plant materials, site design, grading and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Compensation Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience and work location. The range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000.
