Electronics/Repair Technician
The Electronics/Repair Technician is responsible for:
Demonstrates progressively increasing responsibility in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of communications equipment, electronics equipment
Capability to distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems
Plans and performs installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for communications equipment, electronics equipment
Troubleshooting RF networks
Use of Spectrum Analyzer
Full spectrum testing of HPA’s and LNB’s
Plotting and capturing test data
Use of Power Meter, for bench testing output of HPA’s
Use of TDMA and FDMA modems
Creating diagrams for signal flow, wiring and cabling
Building signal and RF cables
Soldering, cables and circuit boards
Component level troubleshooting and repair of electronic/communications items
Experience in writing technical manuals and work instructions
May be required to travel up to 10% CONUS locations
Minimum Qualifications
Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance
Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
Shall have a minimum three (3) years' experience with repairs or refurbishment of SATCOM or SATCOM related equipment.
Desired Qualification 5+ years' experience and advance knowledge in the following areas:
Troubleshooting RF networks
Use of Spectrum Analyzer
Full spectrum testing of HPA’s and LNB’s
Plotting and capturing test data
Use of Power Meter, for bench testing output of HPA’s
Use of TDMA and FDMA modems
Creating diagrams for signal flow, wiring and cabling
Building signal and RF cables
Soldering, cables and circuit boards
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
