Verdantas is seeking a Staff Engineer I for Summer 2026 at our Fort Mitchell, Kentucky Office. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or emerging professionals ready to transition from academic learning to impactful, real‑world engineering.
As a Staff I Engineer, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, curiosity, and continuous growth. You’ll contribute to meaningful projects that drive environmental and infrastructure solutions, while gaining hands‑on experience in design, development, and problem‑solving.

What You’ll Do
Prepare or assist with preparation of health and safety plans, and implements health and safety plans, including client specific requirements and documentation such as forms, job safety analysis (JSAs), etc
Collect and help interpret data through research, file reviews, field observations and measurements, field testing and other methods
Assist in preparing detailed plans and technical specifications
Perform computations and process data using computer software or other established methods
Assist in preparing cost estimates for design implementation
Perform other engineering related tasks for projects (i.e. designs, drawing, site inspections etc.) under the supervision of senior engineers
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution
0-2 years of experience in land development civil‑site engineering
Familiarity with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D preferred
EIT Preferred
Familiarity with ArcGIS software is preferred
Strong written and oral communication skills
Salary Range: 65,000.00 – 70,000.00
