Estimator
to join their Kansas City office. This role is ideal for an analytical professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced estimating environment and is ready to support large-scale commercial and specialty electrical projects. What You’ll Do
As an Estimator, you’ll play a critical role in driving the preconstruction and proposal process by assembling accurate, competitive bids and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. You’ll analyze drawings, specifications, and proposals to prepare cost estimates that ensure operational efficiency, accuracy, and alignment with project goals. Key responsibilities
Developing comprehensive material and labor cost estimates for client proposals and project bids Conducting subcontractor outreach, solicitation, and qualification Evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes for completeness and cost accuracy Integrating specialty and standard equipment pricing into detailed estimates Reviewing design documents, commercial terms, and specifications for accuracy, scope, and risk Preparing cost analyses, historical pricing research, and value engineering alternatives Supporting estimate clarifications, assumptions, and final proposal submissions What You Bring
Minimum of
2+ years of experience in electrical estimating Bachelor’s degree in
Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
(relevant experience will be considered instead of a degree) Strong proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite ; experience with
Trimble Accubid v16
preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical, time management, and multitasking abilities Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with project management, engineering, and procurement teams Why This Opportunity Stands Out
