Performs preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex mechanical production equipment and systems. Follows standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness. Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs equipment problems. Complete equipment modifications and relocations with direction from a project leader. Logs equipment repairs, modification and maintenance details in the designated system. Key Responsibilities

Always follow safety procedures, including lock out-tag out, confined space and fall protection. Proficiency in many complex maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting mechanical issues, repairing equipment, and performing preventative maintenance. Operate all common types of tools and maintenance equipment such as welding machines, machining equipment, multimeters, and power tools. Operate medium to heavy duty equipment, including man and material lifts. Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and take corrective actions to restore equipment to proper working condition. Replace or repair defective components, parts, or systems as needed. Collaborate with other maintenance staff and production operators to resolve equipment issues promptly. Document maintenance activities and communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members in operations and engineering. Perform tasks with minimal supervision, managing time and resources effectively. Mentor maintenance technician I, providing trade skill development. Essential Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Licensed journeyman mechanic, required. Ability to use all common types of hand and power tools. Ability to use common fabrication equipment and methods such as saws, lathes, mills, and welders. Strong knowledge of common manufacturing systems such as pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry). Core Competencies
