Supervises and coordinates electrical activities engaged in construction, maintenance, and repair of electric power, lighting, and communication systems of plant buildings. Essential Job Functions
Plans wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers and fuse boxes. Inspects wiring and fixtures for conformance to company specifications or local electrical codes. Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommends measures to improve production methods and equipment performance. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of plant. Analyzes and resolves work problems and assists workers in solving work problems. Safely operate all equipment and tools. Adhere to safety rules and report safety problems. Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. In conjunction with EHS team, assess and maintain electrical safety programs. Sets up machines and equipment. Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Must possess a state supervisor level electrical license (Limited Supervising Electrician License or higher) Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram. Ability to work varying shifts and overtime as needed. Education And Experience
High School diploma or equivalent. State supervisor level electrical license (Limited Supervising Electrician License or higher), with 4+ related experience required. Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an environment with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes. Ability to stand, bend, crouch, climb, and use hands to perform daily job functions. Ability to exert up to 35 pounds of force to lift and move objects. Seniority level
