Job Description This position is responsible for testing, troubleshooting and calibrating a variety of electronic industrial measuring devices to ensure they conform to established standards. Sets up equipment for tests and measures accuracy of instruments and adjusts instruments to calibration standards.
Essential Functions
Calibrate and adjust electronic test equipment
Generate and maintain traceable calibration records
Basic schematic and wire diagram reading
Basic soldering of cables and circuits
Repair/replace defective equipment and recertify test stations
Evaluate/troubleshoot electronic equipment to determine root cause
Set up standardized laboratory equipment to test and measure accuracy of instruments which are used to record voltage, magnetic resistance, and other factors
Clean, maintain and repair all equipment utilized in acceptance testing of shippable products
Maintains inventory of specialized repair/supply items to ensure adequate supplies are available
Requests quotes and submits requisitions from outside sources
Coordinate corrective action with supervisors
Work with Test Equipment or Design engineers to build new test stands
Performs any other tasks directed by management to satisfy company objectives
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or military training in metrology preferred
1 to 3 years' experience performing inspection, calibration and repair of precision electronic testing and measuring equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Meters, etc.
Must have basic understanding of metrology
Must have an understanding of schematics
Must be US Citizen
