Responsibilities

Develop, improve, and maintain process tooling and associated equipment.

Support sales and customers with engineering, cost, productivity, and quality solutions to grow business.

Assist in sample submission and corrective/preventative action processes.

Maintain customer files, including engineering standards, blueprints, and related materials.

Ensure tooling meets customer requirements and can remove tooling from production if quality issues arise.

Develop and implement production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards cost‑efficiently.

Recommend and implement improvements in operations, equipment utilization, tooling, and related matters.

Monitor operations to assure compliance with schedules and approved quality methods.

Work with customers on product and tooling designs; procure production tools and optimize efficiencies such as scrap, yield, and molding rates.

Coordinate activities with pattern shop and maintain 5‑S guidelines for office and plant floor organization.

Qualifications

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

2–5 years of professional engineering experience in metal casting or related manufacturing.

Proficiency with CAD/CAM systems and advanced simulation tools (e.g., Magma).

Strong written and verbal communication skills for presentations and technical reports.

Understanding of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and use of advanced engineering techniques for problem resolution.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.

Knowledge of company products, competitor products, and supplier capability.

Expert knowledge of casting processes and methods, including B&L systems for tooling and requisitions.
