Experienced Automotive Service Advisor needed for a well-established new car dealership on the South Shore of MA. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Service Writer looking for a long-term role at a well-established service department with a great reputation and many repeat customers. The successful candidate is an experienced Service Advisor who values customer service, and has a strong understanding of upselling with integrity. Must be a team player with a track record of good CSI. It is important that the Service Advisor hired is a clear communicator and makes sure that customers are kept informed throughout their repair process. This position offers the chance to be part of a growing dealer group that likes to promote from within. 5 day work week and no late nights! Experience on CDK a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and assess vehicle service needs with professionalism and clarity. Prepare accurate repair orders, clearly detailing the required services and obtaining customer approval. Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the repair process, ensuring satisfaction and managing expectations. Verify warranty and service contract coverage, if applicable Provide cost estimates and explain recommended repairs or maintenance in a way that customers can easily understand. Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure timely service completion and relay any additional findings to the customer. Promote additional services and maintenance based on vehicle inspections to drive sales. Ensure ROs are written up and closed out in a timely and accurate fashion Ensure customer records are up to date Ensure that customers leave with a full understanding of the services performed and promote customer retention. Quickly address any potential customer concerns in a polite and respectful manner Maintain positive CSI Assist other advisors and department staff as needed, working to ensure that the department functions smoothly Qualifications:
Prior experience as an Automotive Service Advisor in a dealership setting. Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with automotive repair and maintenance processes. Experience with dealership management software (DMS) A positive attitude and passion for providing outstanding service.
