– Based in Westlake, TX, this attorney role will provide legal support to Fidelity companies and emerging business initiatives on a full range of business development, corporate governance, finance, compensation, transactional and securities matters. Expertise We’re Looking For
J.D. required. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Law firm experience required. Significant business development, governance, securities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance experience required. In-house experience and relevant business experience in finance and consulting a plus. Purpose of Your Role
You will be part of the corporate legal team within Fidelity’s in-house legal department, providing general business counsel and corporate governance and securities advice to Fidelity’s parent company and to subsidiaries operating and developing new businesses in a broad range of industries. Skills You Bring
Exceptional judgment and range. You will need to excel at quickly analyzing complex legal and business issues in a wide variety of substantive areas. Highly organized, self-motivated and self-directed. You need to be able to work efficiently, under pressure, with varying degrees of supervision, and manage projects with competing deadlines in a dynamic environment. Must thrive in a team environment. Outstanding analytical, advocacy, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to advise and influence senior executives and professionals from diverse businesses. Providing general business counsel and corporate governance and securities law advice. Supporting various board and management activities, emerging business initiatives across Fidelity, internal and external equity and debt offerings, acquisitions, and dispositions, Drafting and reviewing relevant documents. Participating in and leading cross-functional working teams. Forming good working relationships with your business and legal colleagues. Certifications
