Overview
Join Broward Health Medical Center as a Surgical Scheduler – full‑time, daytime days. The role coordinates scheduling for operating room, interventional radiology, ambulatory surgery, cardiac catheterization, pre‑admission testing, and endoscopy services. The scheduler triages telephone calls, collects demographic and insurance information, and maintains the scheduling workflow.
Responsibilities
Provide scheduling services for OR, IR, ambulatory surgery, cardiac catheterization lab, pre‑admission testing, and endoscopy.
Answer and triage telephone calls from patients, physicians, and staff.
Collect patient demographic/insurance data prior to appointment and update location database.
Coordinate with surgeons, nurses, and ancillary staff to confirm appointments.
Maintain accurate scheduling records and troubleshoot scheduling issues.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (essential).
Minimum one‑year experience in a clinical scheduling or administrative role.
