Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Trident is a privately held, 100 percent USA-owned company with primary seafood processing operations and fleet support in twelve Alaska communities. Trident’s global operations produce finished wild Alaska seafood products in 6 countries and its sales teams serve customers in over 50 countries. Trident employs approximately 9,000 people worldwide each year and partners with over 5,400 independent fishermen and crewmembers. Species harvested and processed by Trident include virtually every commercial species of salmon, whitefish, and crab harvested in the North Pacific and Alaska. The global supply chain also includes cultured and wild species from a network of trusted sources worldwide. Summary:
The Resident Services Support team member will flex between cleaning rooms and halls throughout the facilities as well as preparing and serving buffet style meals. Note: Dining Hall Resident Services Support residing in Trident housing will be subject to a co-pay of fifteen dollars per day for room and board, for each day that at least 8 hours of work is offered. Key Responsibilities
Assists in meal preparation and food service as indicated on the menu or as assigned. Always maintains a clean working environment. Responsible for cleaning kitchen, kitchen equipment, and all dishes, tables, and floors. Restocks and cleans beverage machines and condiments on a regular basis. Responsible for basic housekeeping duties such as cleaning and stocking bathrooms and other common areas. Assists in laundering employee clothing and work attire. Cleans storage rooms, bathrooms, offices, corridors, processing areas, and stairways. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies, and dusts furniture. Washes walls, ceiling, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills. Empties and cleans wastebaskets, outdoor ashtrays and transports trash and waste to disposal areas. Cleans and replenishes bathroom supplies and replaces light bulbs. Additional Responsibilities
Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions. Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings. Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned. Employees working in Alaska are advised to have medical insurance coverage which is valid in the State of Alaska. Must be a current Trident Seafoods employee or have worked for Trident Seafoods before Food Handler’s card; required within 30 days of employment. Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in housekeeping or food service industry preferred. Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee moves objects regularly up to 10 pounds and frequently up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
