House Supervisor - Carrier Clinic - P/T with Benefits Nights

Overview Requisition # 2025-166019. Shift: Night. Status: Part-time with Benefits.
Responsibilities
Provides continuity in supervision of hospital personnel and guidance to maintain quality clinical care along with prudent fiscal management of supplies and staff. Deploys staff, supplies, and/or equipment as needed. Rounds on all units and departments and supervises patient care. Coordinates with department heads to identify patient problems and assist in effective resolution. Responds to all Codes and Rapid Responses. Performs clinical support (e.g., obtaining medical records). Initiates and manages Incident Command Center until Emergency Management staff arrive. Ensures appropriate use of hospital resources and bed management to maximize patient flow.
Collaboratively leads Nursing and Hospital departments, providing mentorship, education, and training. Interprets hospital policies and regulations for staff, physicians, patients, and visitors. Facilitates critical thinking and problem solving at unit and department levels. Develops a coordinated team approach with physicians, nurses, and allied health personnel. Participates in the orientation of new staff. Facilitates timely discharges and transfers; prioritizes bed assignments and patient flow in the absence of a Capacity Manager. Maintains communication with essential personnel throughout the day to sustain daily operations.
Assumes leadership of care in the absence of the administrator. Promotes patient satisfaction through service excellence. Provides direction and problem solving for operational issues. Contributes to performance evaluations and competency assessments. Initiates disciplinary actions as appropriate with managers. Participates in performance improvement projects aligned with organizational goals. Ensures compliance with state, federal, and regulatory requirements (e.g., EMTALA, JC, DoH).
Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Qualifications Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Minimum of an associate degree in Nursing or a diploma in Nursing.
BSN in progress and/or willingness to acquire within three (3) years of hire. Note: Advanced master’s degree in nursing programs satisfy the BSN requirement.
Minimum of four years of recent clinical experience. Demonstrates clinical knowledge and leadership competencies.
Demonstrated ability to work independently. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite).
Education, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Preferred
Knowledge of evidence-based criteria, utilization review, discharge planning, and case management.
Licenses And Certifications Required
New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse License

Compensation Minimum rate of $87,199.84 Annually. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The posted rate of pay is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay and does not reflect the full value of our package.
