Position Overview The Pricing Manager is responsible for supporting day-to-day pricing activities and competitive and market intelligence for the OPW Portfolio of companies. This hands-on role ensures that pricing decisions are accurate, competitive, and aligned with financial objectives. The Pricing Manager will analyze costs, gather and interpret market insights, manage approvals, and partner closely with sales and product teams to drive profitable growth. This position may work from the following OPW/Dover campuses: Elon, NC (preferred); Hamilton, OH; Downer’s Grove, IL. Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain pricing models, tools, and processes to support business needs. Change management leader driving required pricing process changes across OPW’s diverse businesses, including teaching and driving the concept of value-based pricing. Support the collection and analysis of market intelligence, including competitor pricing, industry trends, customer behaviors, and market benchmarks. Translate market insights into actionable pricing strategies and recommendations. Perform detailed margin, cost, and profitability analysis to ensure competitive and profitable pricing decisions. Review pricing policies and make recommendations for each BU related to DOA and timing. Partner with sales, product management, and finance to support bids, proposals, and contract pricing decisions. Partner with sales, product management, and finance to support discounting policies, commercial programs such as rebates, multi-year agreements, and large order strategies. Monitor and report on pricing performance, including realization, profitability, and market positioning. Support strategies to price installation, service, support, and pass-through products. Provide timely recommendations for pricing adjustments based on cost changes, competitive dynamics, and customer input. Support annual price list updates, customer agreements, and new product launches with accurate market-aligned pricing. Prepare reports and dashboards to track KPIs related to pricing, competitiveness, and profitability. Create or update OPW pricing, discounting, commercial program, multi-year contract, and large order policies/DOA, in partnership with finance, as needed. Continuously improve pricing processes, governance, and intelligence gathering capabilities. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or related field. 5+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or commercial finance. Strong analytical skills: proven ability to work with large datasets and build pricing models. Hands-on experience with margin analysis, costing, and pricing in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Demonstrated ability to gather, interpret, and apply market intelligence to pricing decisions. Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Oracle and/or InforXA preferred). Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work closely with sales, marketing, product, and finance teams. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to travel up to 25%, including internationally. Desired Characteristics
Experience in global or multi-market pricing. Knowledge of cost accounting, contract pricing, and industrial markets. Demonstrated ability to establish and improve competitive intelligence processes.
