The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for performing overseeing the hands-on fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of race vehicle components for the NASCAR Truck Series team. This role ensures all parts and assemblies meet strict performance, quality, and safety standards. The Supervisor works closely with engineers, race teams, and shop personnel to support vehicle preparation and track readiness. Success in this position requires precision, technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced motorsports environment. Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly manage a team of design engineers and CAD specialists. Mentor, coach, and develop engineering staff to enhance performance and career growth. Allocate resources, assign tasks, and monitor progress across multiple projects. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members. Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and assist Fabrication, assembly, and maintaining race vehicle components using welding, metalworking, and mechanical assembly techniques. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to produce high-quality components. Inspect parts and assemblies for accuracy, quality, and compliance with team and NASCAR standards. Collaborate with engineers, crew chiefs, and shop personnel to ensure components meet vehicle performance requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues to prevent delays and maintain production schedules. Maintain accurate documentation of parts, measurements, and fabrication processes. Support vehicle preparation for testing, practice, and race events, including on-site adjustments as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all safety protocols, industry best practices, and NASCAR regulations. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, precision, and quality. Perform additional duties as assigned to support team objectives. Required Skills and Abilities
Proficient in fabrication techniques, including welding, cutting, bending, and assembly. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with measurement tools and fabrication equipment. Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced production environment. Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred. 3–7 years of experience in fabrication, mechanical assembly, or motorsports-related work. Experience in race vehicle fabrication is highly desirable. Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds regularly. Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, bending, stooping, or kneeling. Comfortable working in tight, awkward, or variable shop conditions. Ability to work in noisy, temperature-variable, and physically demanding environments. Notice
