Paint Manager – Mertz Integration, Ponca City, OK. Full‑time, management level, salary undisclosed. Position Summary

The Paint Manager will direct and coordinate the activities, schedule, and resources of all paint employees. Responsibilities include overseeing paint‑related tasks, coordinating process improvements, and working with Engineers, Operations, Maintenance, and the paint supply chain. Essential Functions

Instruct employees about the 6S Lean program to ensure an efficient workspace. Forecast painting schedule for outgoing orders and equipment. Establish coating application standards for primer, paint, clear coat, curing, and repair. Motivate and coach department team members to focus on paint improvements. Coordinate facilities and vendors to support painting operations and schedule preventative maintenance. Follow departmental employee objectives, standards, or directions. Stay up‑to‑date with all safety, quality, inventory, and production guidelines. Manage up to 40+ employees. Qualifications

Position Requirements Successfully passes background check, pre‑employment drug screening, and aptitude/competency assessments. Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License. Daily in‑person, predictable attendance. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Degree in Automotive Technology, Fine Arts, or Business preferred. 3‑5 years of supervisory experience preferred. 2‑3 years in a paint setting. Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend advanced English. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical thinking, creative and critical thinking, and data analysis. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and handling sensitive information with professionalism. High integrity, ethics, professionalism, and confidentiality. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and/or Six Sigma. Knowledge of paint production processes. Ability to accept added responsibility and provide appropriate reports. Experience with ERP systems in Discrete Manufacturing; Made2Manage preferred. Ability to work under limited supervision for customer satisfaction and timely delivery. Physical Requirements

Daily walking, sitting, climbing, bending, reaching, and squatting/kneeling. Exposure to hazardous materials, noise up to 85 dB, inclement weather, and extreme temperatures. Personal protective equipment required. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Work hours may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends. AAP / EEO Statement
