About The Role The

Asset Manager

is responsible for managing overall asset care, ensuring maintenance efficiency (planning and scheduling) and effectiveness (reliability engineering). They are accountable for meeting the maintenance OPEX budget. The role involves technical leadership, team development, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence within the maintenance department. The Asset Manager oversees roles including Automation Engineer, Storekeeper, Planner, Scheduler, Technicians, and Reliability Engineer. Collaboration with operational leads is essential to ensure a unified organization and a service-oriented approach aligned with production and operational goals. Key Responsibilities Include Lead and coach the maintenance team, ensuring skill development, providing training, mentoring, and growth opportunities. Encourage cross-functional collaboration and regular feedback. Ensure timely Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) activities for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Manage the maintenance budget, aligning spending with business objectives and cost-saving initiatives, including Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB). Implement Global Standards and oversee BCOS work processes, especially in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and PM to maximize uptime and asset lifespan. Optimize planning and scheduling processes in collaboration with the Planner and Scheduler to improve maintenance efficiency. Work with the Reliability Engineer to enhance maintenance effectiveness focusing on equipment reliability and lifecycle management. Maintain consistency in asset management practices across teams and locations, providing guidance as needed. Coordinate between PM and CM functions. About You Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Asset Management, or related field. 7-10 years of experience in asset management, maintenance leadership, or reliability engineering in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food manufacturing or processing. Strong knowledge of TPM, RCM, and maintenance planning/scheduling methodologies. Experience managing maintenance OPEX budgets, including cost optimization and ZBB principles. Proven leadership skills in coaching, team development, and fostering continuous improvement. Proficient in CMMS (preferably IBM Maximo) and other asset management tools. Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with data-driven decision-making ability.
