Commodity Manager (Outside Processing)
As a member of Safran Seats, you contribute to providing over one million seats to airlines worldwide, ensuring superior quality, comfort, and innovation. Your role involves collaborating with a team to develop high-value solutions for passengers and crews. Objective: Coordinating purchases for one or more purchasing commodities, including drafting, validating, and deploying target purchasing policies, guaranteeing the attainment of objectives within your scope in terms of gains and service level expected by Safran. Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
Coordinating, drafting, and proposing target purchasing policy for the commodity concerned Coordinating invitations to tender, implementing the supplier selection process Negotiating and drawing up contracts with selected suppliers Managing the panel of suppliers Managing supplier relations Reporting back to the purchasing department Being the key contact of the lead family buyer Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations Performing other duties as assigned Job Requirements
Qualification Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or other related field is required, or six years of equivalent/related experience. Eight years of hands-on experience working in one of the listed fields is required, with prior purchasing/sourcing experience. Operational experience of over 8 years, including experience with suppliers Knowledge of development and production processes Experience in Project Management Configuration Management Cross-functional Management Analysis and formalization of customer requirements Understand the technical environment and customer's expectations Management of supplier relationships Purchasing administration Analysis of economic performance Fundamentals of negotiation Knowledge of industrial management methods Computer knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite Safran Seats USA is an equal opportunity employer.
