Overview

Ogletree Deakins has the opportunity for a Business Development Coordinator to join the firm’s Client Services department. This position will report to the Business Development Manager and will work with practice and industry group leaders, other attorneys, and Client Services Department team members to assist with the development and execution of strategic marketing and business development plans for the firm’s many practice and industry groups. Key job duties include assisting in areas including driving business development and marketing initiatives, strategic planning and group operations, and harnessing technology and innovation to implement initiatives. Essential Functions

Work closely with practice/industry group leaders to identify, develop, and execute marketing and business development activities and plans aligned with each group’s goals and objectives Utilize firm resources (e.g., Foundation Software), competitive intelligence, industry trends, benchmarking, and similar resources to support practice/industry group visibility and growth Collaborate with other Client Services teams, such as communications and content, to identify timely and informative content development and thought leadership opportunities Collaborate with other departments, such as Knowledge and Innovation, to harness practice analytics, dashboards, and other innovative tools and resources Research and promote involvement with trade groups and associations to enhance visibility of groups and lawyers Attend and contribute to practice and industry group meetings Work with applicable groups on practice group-specific events, including agenda development, marketing campaigns, and on-site support Assist practice and industry group leaders with talent development to promote group engagement, growth, and marketing activities Leverage marketing expertise and practice/industry group knowledge to drive new business opportunities and cross-sell groups Communicate effectively with Client Services department leaders and members, firm attorneys, clients, and others within and outside the firm as necessary Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a communications-related field 2 years of legal marketing or business development experience preferred Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong collaboration skills Ability to take initiative and work in a self-directed manner Ability to meet deadlines Ability to multi-task and handle responsibilities for multiple groups Strong writing skills, customer service-oriented approach, and ability to communicate professionally and clearly with clients, attorneys, and staff Ability to travel to firm events if requested Proficiency in all Microsoft applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Proficiency in InterAction, Foundation Software, and AI tools a plus Benefits
