Planning Manager Position Purpose / Summary

The Production Scheduler develops and manages the production schedule, maximizes the utilization of company resources, and ensures customer demands are met in a timely manner. This role is responsible for daily production reporting that is to be provided internally and externally. Direct Reports

None Position Responsibilities – Tasks – Deliverables

Create and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on demand and availability of key resources. Monitor and adjust production schedules based on operational performance, material availability, or changes to the Master Schedule. Coordinate delivery of raw components needed to meet production schedule. Review production schedule and work orders to determine staffing needs and machine runtime to best utilize company resources while meeting customer demand. Conduct daily scheduling/production meetings. Work closely with Production leadership to ensure effective and efficient workflow from the beginning stages to outgoing shipments to the customer. Input, monitor and maintain accurate data within internal company MRP system and external customer MRP systems (Navision, SAP, other). Act as liaison between planners and the plant to relay key data, execute orders and meet delivery dates. Review material inventories on a daily basis and report to production planners of shortages found and/or production shortages. Interact with and act as a liaison between Business/Customer partners and Planners in regard to all Supply Chain activities. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly internal production/data reports. Develop improvements to increase the efficiency of the scheduling process. Provide resolution to production capacity constraints. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Demonstrates strong time management skills when creating schedules and working with production and planning to ensure the timely delivery of customer goods/demand. Displays exceptional attention to detail when overseeing production & scheduling plans to maximize plant efficiencies while meeting customer demand. Utilizes critical thinking and creative problem solving skills effectively to provide resolution to production capacity constraints. Operations schedule attainment >95%. Benefits

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred. Applicable equivalent progressive work experience in lieu of educational training. APICS certification a plus. Experience

2 years Relevant and progressive scheduling experience in the liquid filling industry is highly desired. Procurement knowledge. Can pivot among multiple competing priorities, projects, and resources, while maintaining accuracy under pressure. Practiced good judgment and risk management. Has self‑direction and self‑motivation to achieve individual performance expectations. Honed analytical capacity; translates into meaningful reports and business options. Outstanding problem‑solving, decision‑making, prioritization, organization, and detail conscientious. Technology/Software

Exceptional skills with Microsoft Office required, very strong Excel skills. Proficient knowledge of MRP/ERP – EDI system; Microsoft Navision a plus, or another relevant ERP system necessary. Communication

Effectively interact with all levels of business partners, internal & external. Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal is essential. Active listening – giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Physical Capabilities

Strength (lifting, dexterity, repetitive motion)

Able to transition between desk work and walking about a production facility for varying time lengths throughout a workday. Movement (standing, stopping, sitting, crouching, crawling)

Generally standing, walking are a regular occurrence; based on need to view production activity other movements may be necessary for brief intervals of time. Hearing (loud noise tolerance, quiet work area, public speaking, receive work direction)

Able to receive and provide information ranging from quiet desk work areas to loud production areas. Vision (judge distance, read signs, extended computer work, identify details)

Visual judgement so as to avoid injury near machinery or walking about production area. Must be able to judge distance, identify details, and view computer screen regularly. MISCELLANEOUS
