Overview
Quality Inspector – Weekdays Monday–Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm (1st Shift).
Company Spectrum Plastics Group (SPG) is a global supplier of engineered medical components and value‑added solutions for the medical device and contract manufacturing industries. With a footprint that includes 20 manufacturing sites around the world, SPG provides precision extruded plastic solutions, injection molded components, balloons, and complex catheter assemblies to manufacturers and premier medical device brands, primarily in the medical device and life science market segments.
Responsibilities
Inspect parts visually and dimensionally, document inspection results, and enter data accurately.
Prepare customer quality documentation as required.
Coordinate shipment of finished product.
Actively promote and drive a culture of safety.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; one (1) year experience and/or training plus coursework in inspection and gauging, blueprint reading, SPC and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Must be a self-starter and able to make decisions independently. Experience with a microscope is a must.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is quiet/moderate in inspection and loud on the production floor.
