$62,000–$92,000 per year (based on experience) Position Overview

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports Project Managers and Superintendents in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects. This position may be based in our San Marcos office or on a job site, depending on project needs. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and ready to learn both the business and the field side of construction. Travel opportunities outside of Texas and the United States may be available for those interested. Responsibilities

Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to understand project scope and requirements. Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, and change orders; maintain detailed logs for each. Assist in developing project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports. Support owner billing, subcontractor pay applications, and vendor invoicing. Maintain accurate project documentation including as-builts, correspondence, and reports. Coordinate and schedule meetings; prepare agendas, distribute minutes and action items. Track material procurement, delivery schedules, and long‑lead items to prevent delays. Support estimating, bid packages, and subcontractor scope reviews during preconstruction. Help prepare close‑out documents, O&M manuals, and warranty packages. Communicate professionally with architects, engineers, clients, and subcontractors. Visit job sites regularly to observe progress, quality, and safety. Participate in safety walks, site inspections, and quality control checks. Assist Superintendents with subcontractor coordination and daily logistics. Document daily reports and maintain photo logs. Help identify and track punch list items through project completion. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. 1–2 years of experience in commercial construction. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, documentation, and coordination. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software. Excellent organization, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Dependable, proactive, and eager to learn. Ability to work both in the office and on active job sites. Willingness to travel for projects, including travel outside of Texas. Physical Requirements

Ability to walk active job sites, climb stairs and ladders, and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. What We Offer
