Senior Product Designer
to drive design strategy and detailed design execution across internal products that enable our physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and patient advocates to provide safe, high‑quality care. Who You Are
You are a designer skilled at creating exceptional experiences for healthcare providers. You understand complex problems across integrated systems and bring a blend of leadership, curiosity, process, and advocacy for end users and design craft. You’ll partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Data, Medical, and Legal, and contribute to our platform design system and governance process to continually evolve UI components and design patterns. What You’ll Do
Own your design process end to end, solving business problems at the heart of a complex healthcare delivery platform. Set and raise the quality bar for design, influencing through craft, collaboration, and problem‑solving. Make data‑driven decisions that translate business goals into product experiences, distilling complexity into simple, elegant solutions. Inspire and influence cross‑functional team members and senior leadership by presenting design variations, rationale, and evidence‑based decisions. Lead all phases of design, from vision, strategy, research, ideation, UX architecture, flows, interactions, wireframing, testing, to polished visual design. Leverage, improve, and elevate our visual language and Ro internal design system, ensuring it reflects human‑centered principles, UX best practices, and visual design excellence. What You’ll Bring To The Team
5+ years of experience designing and shipping end‑to‑end products, including complicated flows and edge cases. Experience contributing to and scaling a design system. Ability to think at both product strategy and design detail levels. Experience designing for knowledge workers in domains such as Electronic Medical Record (EMR), insurance claims processing, and corporate banking or investment portfolio management. Strong collaboration with product and engineering peers across multiple stakeholders. Ability to provide design variations and reasoning to support design choices. Experience maturing software platforms across multiple squads and stakeholders. Proficiency in qualitative research methods and usability testing. Strong communication and storytelling skills, with a passion for design critique and review. A desire to learn, grow, and be mentored by senior designers. For our Ro’ers in the tri‑state (NY) area, you will join us at HQ on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For those outside the tri‑state area, you will participate in in‑person collaborations throughout the year, such as team on‑sites.
