Sleep Disorders Center, HHS Hunterdon Healthcare System Inc., 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ, is seeking a part-time Patient Service Representative to work a variable schedule, Monday through Friday, day shift. The hiring range for this position is $18.00 - $22.50 hourly.
Position Summary:
Responsible for greeting patients, processing paperwork for visits, scheduling appointments, providing patient assistance, assisting to obtain authorization for visits and procedures, answering phones, taking messages and/or referring to the appropriate employee in a timely manner, and special projects as needed. Primary Position Responsibilities: Completes intake and schedules and registers patients Responsible for communication interdepartmental and intradepartmental, providing information to patients and families Completes all insurance responsibilities for efficient reimbursement Performs clerical duties Qualifications: Minimum Education:
HS Diploma or Equivalent Minimum Years of Experience:
Exposure to a medical facility with experience in appointments, registration, and insurance authorization License, Registry or Certification:
None Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Telephone etiquette, organizational skills, ability to adjust and deal effectively with frequent interruptions and workload, good communication skills, detailed oriented, multi-tasking skills, and proficiency in using computers, fax, copiers, and general office equipment Preferred:
